Cajun-Style Fried Quinoa with Ground Turkey & Veggies


Get a taste of the south with quinoa bowl loaded with ground turkey, broccoli, and cauliflower.

Prep Time: 10 mins Total Time: 30 mins

Ingredients:

  • quinoa
  • Broccoli
  • Cauliflower
  • Ground Turkey
  • Oil or Butter

Seasoning:

  • 2 parts paprika
  • 2 parts garlic powder
  • 1 part oregano
  • 1 part cayene pepper
  • 1 part thyme
  • 1 part salt
  • 1 part black pepper

Equipment Needed:

  • Pan
  • Pot
  • Stovetop

Step 1: Cook quinoa according to package instructions
Step 2: Chop broccoli and cauliflower into bite-sized pieces
Step 3: Heat oil or butter in a pan over medium heat
Step 4: Cook ground turkey for 7-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until no longer pink
Step 5: Remove turkey from the pan, add more oil or butter, and saute broccoli and cauliflower for 5-10 minutes, until they become crispy and golden-brown
Step 6: Add turkey and quinoa into the pan, stir well to combine, season to taste and enjoy!
