Old-School Pork & Veggie Egg-Fried Rice


It would be difficult to sneak any more ingredients into this fried rice bowl. As is, the ground pork, scrambled eggs, and broccoli and cauliflower, provide the dish plenty of taste, texture, and protein.

Ingredients:

  • rice
  • Broccoli
  • Cauliflower
  • Ground Pork
  • Eggs
  • Oil or Butter

Seasoning:

  • 1 part salt
  • 1 part black pepper

Equipment Needed:

  • Pan
  • Pot
  • Stovetop

Step 1: Cook rice according to package instructions
Step 2: Heat oil or butter in a pan over medium heat

Step 3: Cook ground pork for 7-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until no longer pinkStep 4: Crack eggs into a bowl and whisk until yolks and whites are combined
Step 5: Heat oil or butter in a pan over medium heat
Step 6: Cook eggs until they reach desired consistency. Stir frequently.
Step 7: Chop broccoli and cauliflower into bite-sized pieces
Step 8: Heat oil or butter in a pan over medium heat
Step 9: Saute broccoli for 5-10 minutes, until broccoli becomes crispy and golden-brown.
Step 10: Add the rice, pork, and eggs to the pan with the broccoli and stir to combine
Step 11: Serve the fried rice and enjoy!
